Roadside litter costs a lot of money annually to control. Often, it is impossible to keep up with the trash that others have discarded. That’s why we need your help! 

Join the many other volunteers who help keep Smyrna beautiful by picking up litter along our roads.

WHAT’S REQUIRED?
Generally, the adopting group agrees to pick up litter from both sides of a road for a roughly two mile section at a minimum of four times per year.

The Town of Smyrna will provide the adopting organization with the following:

  • Signage installed on roadway acknowledging the adopting organization
  • Safety vest for each participant
  • Trash Bags for each pick‐up date
  • Advanced Warning Signage

The Town of Smyrna Public Works Department will be responsible for collection and disposal of the trash bags along the roadside.
